Hide New Topic in the navigation menu

Hi pals?
I need some help with this. I think I just got mixed up on the way. How do I obtain a New Topic not to show up in my navigation? I greatly appreciate your help

Open templates/main_header.html for editing; remove {$l_menu[7]}; save.
Done.
