um, if you mean could you move the data in the minibb tables to a new database - i guess so.

would be the same as content for any database, dump the tables to a file and then import them into your new database.

Thanks. Just wanted to know if my host should quit business 6 months after I started my forum if it were easy to transfer my existing database to a new host or if I would have to start over. Sounds like it not too big a deal to transfer a database.

Actually, it is not the question of miniBB itself... It is a question of your provider :) And yes, as 4days mentioned, it is very easy to transfer mySQL database from one host to another - you just need to have a shell or phpMyAdmin installed on this server, or whatever that gives you that posiibility.
