Notify admin about user's registration?

I am setting up a private forum, and I would like users who apply for reg to be approved before allowed access to forums. Is there a hack or setting so that emails me when a new user signs up, so I can allow them access without frequently going to the forum to check the new user list?

Notifications about new users are available for admin by default. Set $emailadmin=1; in setup_options.php.

Post as a Guest, leaving the Password field blank. You could also enter a Guest name, if it's not taken by a member yet. Sign-in and post at once, or just sign-in, bypassing the message's text.
