I see this line at the top of bb_func_vforum.php:

if (!defined('INCLUDED776')) die ('Fatal error.');

Anyone know why it's there?

If you are a good programmer, you can imagine yourself, why it is here... ;) If you are not, then simply leave it as it is.

In general, it's a security issue to protect standalone PHP scripts which are included in index.php, from the external execution. INCLUDED776 is defined in index.php, and it can't be passed through the standard GET or POST routine. So it means, if it's not defined, the script stops.
