My problem is that after registration on my forum the email with the password isn't sent. What can be wrong? It worked before I connected a domain name to my web-account.

Any ideas?

If it worked before and it is not working now, and you haven't changed anything in options - I think, it is not a miniBB problem...

But what can be wrong than? How does miniBB send the emails?

It sends them via usual PHP function mail() — so, sendmail must be enabled on your server.

In our spam era also, many providers may block automated messages, if they consider them as spam or bulk. Unfortunatelly, there is no solution against that... either we fight spam and kill important messages, too; either we receive important messages amongst other sh*t.

If an automated message is not received, check bulk/spam folders in yout mailbox — in most cases, messages are went there... you should force your email to exclude such messages from blacklisting manually.

I'm using minibb right now and tested it. It works well but when I signed up as a user and put in my email address --- I didn't get a confimation mail letting me know my username and password.
can anyone help me out?

Check the following variables in setup_options.php files:

$emailusers=1;
$genEmailDisable=0;

They all should be set as mentioned; else miniBB will ignore sending emails.

Your server also can not support sending emails. miniBB uses standard mail() function of PHP, which is connected to external mailing program. Contact hosting service for more details...
