Is it working with our original list of words? If it is working, go word by word in your list and exclude incorrect word.

On My end if I put a work in that is an exact match then it work, but If I put it in Capitalised or with an (s) on it it doesn't work, is this the idea or is this failing?

Put the strings in lowercase only.

In the 'Bad Words' List file they are all Lowercase but if I capitalise it in the Message (As some people Would) it doesn't get hit by the Rule.

It only seems to work if the Word Typed and the word in the Text Field are Exactly The Same

EG
in List - evil
in Msg - evil - works
in Msg - Evil - Fails
in Msg - evils - Fails

which version of miniBB are you running and which version of our badwords plugin are you using?

I am running the Latest Version of MiniBB and Badwords Available (I downloaded them about 3 days ago)

Be sure you have no ending line or space after the last word in the badwords list.

yet the filter will not pick it up. like for the word fuck, you can just write
f[b][/b]uck, and the filter wont pick it up, yet it will appear as the normal word.

This should be an easy fix by the minibb team since they can simply ignore the code tags when they check for swears since I assume they must be walking through the string one character at a time looking for swears to be formed.

There is nothing to implement more - anyone is free to use that filter, keeping in mind, that S-word could be written hundreds of another ways. It's only a basic protection.

The only problem that I have encountered is when someone writes a cuss word that is part of a word, for example, association, it will become ***ociation. Any way to get around this?

make sure you're using the latest badwords addon and in the badwords.php file, make sure

$tolerance[1]=

is set to 5 or a higher value.

This variable is used for the starting pattern lookup, ex. BADWORDword. So that if you'll set it to 5 it won't replace any bad word shorter than 5 symbols placed in the beginning of any other word.

$tolerance[0]=6
$tolerance[1]=5

It was already set. Hmmm... still doesn't work.
