How to change thread's messages direction (sorting)?

Please help!

How can I change the direction of messages inside the topic? Ascending/descending, for the whole forum at once.

Manual says it's possible for individual topics, but I don't know how to do it easily to each topic.

The solution was suggested 10 years ago and I suppose, it could still work :)
