hey, dont want to bore anyone here but I'm very green to the whole making websites, etc thing. I want to create a message board. But have no idea where to even start. do I need to have a server/running website (though it wouldnt be published) to even begin to use minibb? I just figured that I would be able to construct it using frontpage or dreamweaver and then get a server for it. but in the 'manual' it is telling me i need to set-up my database (dont know what that reall is but i'll go one question at a time. haha) and im assuming that requires one to have a server.
If anyone understands this and wouldnt mind pointing me in the right direction I would really appreciate it. Thanks. |
