Adsense in the header

How could I add an adsense block to the header template? I have the adsense plugin working in bbplugins for the posts but {adsense} won't load in the header. I noticed you have an add for the forum in your header here.

I think you'd have to put the code outside the parseMessage() function.

That doesn't work, I copy and pasted the code outside the function and it doesn't show?
