It looks better on search engines afterall, but duplicated content is not the reason of implementing it (there is no duplicated content at all, because pages have different URL; only page titles are the same).
I think, there is no need to include "Page" wording or something (for this, we also must to insert "Page" translation in each language pack, this is a lot of work - we don't want to touch language packs anymore). Thus "Page" is also a keyword, and what we need to achieve, is not fulfill indexing content with keyword "Page", but just some way to differentiate multipage titles. So I am offering the following:
1) When topic has more than 1 page, it's title is displayed like for example:
Showcase Forum - mini bulletin board forums - [1] Showcase Forum - mini bulletin board forums - [2] Showcase Forum - mini bulletin board forums - [3]
etc.
OR alteratively:
Showcase Forum [1] - mini bulletin board forums Showcase Forum [2] - mini bulletin board forums Showcase Forum [3] - mini bulletin board forums
Personally I like more first variant.
2) When topic has only one page, nothing is changed and is displayed like now.
